NJPW has felt quite lacklustre to me for a while. The same old match ups, nobody getting elevated and top talent leaving. I was not expecting much from this tournament.
So glad to be proven wrong! This is exactly what we've all been crying out for. The young guns are flying and being built up and stars like Zack are ready to go higher too.
Uemura and Tsuji feel like they've gone up a level in presentation and are really beginning to feel like the real deal. Newman has also been excellent and looks a great prospect. Kidd doing well.
If only Takeshita was on the roster. The guy is amazing and I'd much rather he was in NJPW, where he would fit in better than in AEW.
Really hoping ELP gets elevated too. I love ELP, don't want to see him lost in AEW or NXT or something.
The future seems brighter again for NJPW and I'd much rather watch this than AEW ot WWE.
