received a 3-month work visa

I received a 3-month work visa for my new haken/dispatch job. I guess the biggest reason is that my initial contract is only 2 months, to be extended by 3 months each time in the future. The possibility of receiving only a 3 month visa was not mentioned by the company – they previously said it would be for 1/3/5 years which they now corrected as wrong info. My previous work COEs in Japan were granted for 3 and 5 years stay respectively (but those were for non-contract jobs) so it didn't even cross my mind.

Wondering if with these conditions I should still even move to Japan since there are a lot of difficulties to moving to and living in japan without a residence card and bank account, ineligibility to apply for long-term housing, etc. Perhaps my biggest concern if my next visa renewal is also only a 3 month stay, which is definitely possible since the new contract will only be extended for 3 months.

Anyone have any experience with similar situations or thoughts?
