Did any female tourist experience this?

Hey all, I recently came back from a two week trip from Japan last weekend. I never had issues while traveling to Japan and I do what the locals do while Im there. This was my second trip to Japan.

Anyways, Im an Asian female and I experienced getting aggressively shoulder bumped by older Japanese men while walking around Tokyo with my now fiance. I want to understand why this happens and I've been bumped aggressively a few times. Maybe I walked too slow? I didn't have this happen to me last year in sakura season, but I wonder if any other female tourist experienced the same behavior? Do local Japanese women experience this too? I really like Japan and do my best to not be bothersome in any way to anyone. I never litter, never talk on the trains, etc. However, experiencing this kind of behavior kind of made me a bit sad.

I could kind of see why the older gentlemen would do this: maybe in a hurry, maybe had a bad day, or just upset with the waves of tourists they encounter in their country all throughout the year. I suppose just ignore it? What did you do if you had this experience?
