Lost my Mini 4 Pro to a sudden downpour while flying above the ocean in Okinawa, Japan. I tried to get it back as close to land as possible but unfortunately I lost signal and it drowned in the ocean. Totally my fault for flying in cloudy and slightly windy weather but the turquoise color ocean and coral were too tempting. What bums me the most is the footage I lost… probably had about 15-20 minutes worth of footage in a new card I bought for this trip.
If anyone wants to take a chance to search for it, l'd be enormously grateful to them. Last known coordinates are 26°41'38.6 "N 128°01'28.3"E
Kouri Island is just off the main island of Okinawa. I was flying opposite of the popular Kouri Beach, to the right of the bridge. I had seen a few tour guide jet ski's before the downpour but afterwards there were none around to ask for help…
