I bet it’s called “military” because the green matcha dotted with espresso looks like camouflage. This sounds delicious. In the US it would probably be called a Dirty Matcha

Sawada coffee is famous for its military latte in Chicago. To this day, I’m still not sure if Hiroshi *Sawada*, the owner, is the same guy who open the popular Streamer Coffee Company stores in Japan. They have the same name.
In Australia, Starbucks has a drink called the Matcha Espresso Fusion which seems to be the same thing.
