Hi! My husband and I are traveling from Toronto to Japan for our honeymoon for 14 days (from October 9 – October 23). This is our first-time ever and we are super excited!!
- We’ve been struggling with finding great hotels and would love some suggestions. We don’t want to spend all our life’s money on the hotels, but definitely want to have a mix of affordable and good accommodations, ryokans to experience, and some luxury to enjoy.Â
- We’ve crafted a day-wise itinerary for travel, and are open to feedback! Day 1 (Oct 9, 4:25 PM): Land at Narita Airport (Tokyo)
Day 2 (Oct 10): Tokyo
Day 3 (Oct 11): Tokyo
Day 4 (Oct 12): Tokyo
Day 5 (Oct 13): Day trip from Tokyo to Kamakura, , return back to Tokyo at night
Day 6 (Oct 14): Kyoto
Day 7 (Oct 15): Kyoto
Day 8 (Oct 16): Day trip from Kyoto to Nara, return back to Kyoto at night
Day 9 (Oct 17): OsakaÂ
Day 10 (Oct 18): OsakaÂ
Day 11 (Oct 19): Osaka
Day 12 (Oct 20): Day trip from Osaka to Hakone
Day 13 (Oct 21): Tokyo
Day 14 (Oct 22): Nikko
Day 15 (Oct 23): Depart from Narita Airport (Tokyo)Â
Questions for you:
- Should we do stay the night after our day trips anywhere?
- Should we go directly to Hakone to Nikko? Or stay in Toronto for a day, and then go to Nikko for a day trip?
- What’s your feedback on this plan?Â
- We would love to enjoy some unique experiences like sushi making classes, TeamLabs, stay in ryokans, see mochi being made live, etc. Are there any big must-do experiences unique that we should do?Â
- We’re both big foodies, and are super excited to try cool snacks, and bring some back with us! What’s a must-try?Â
- Any cook cocktail bars to try? Maybe some secret bars, speakeasy, anything else?Â
It's coming up so close now and we would love all your help!
Thanks so much in advance!
