Where is the best place to park and ride into Tokyo?

I prefer taking the train or bus into Tokyo. However, going with others driving is their preference. Because of the high tolls and higher parking fees I’m trying to find a compromise between driving and public transportation. Somewhere outside of the Shutoko where I could park more cheaply and go directly into the city.
