Against the rules to put a keypad on or beside your door?

I own my own apartment and am looking to install a smart lock which goes on top of your old lock on the inside. Typical Tokyo mansion with strict-ish rules but the pad would go on the outside of the door or near the wall where the intercom is.

Would this be considered a violation of the housing rules or is this okay? Relatively new Japan homeowner
