Sumo In Kanazawa

I have seen lot about Sumo in Tokyo and the big events but unfortunately that doesn't line up to when I'm going to be in Japan (plus the tickets are probably all sold out anyway). I have seen there is an exhibition match on October 6th in Kanazawa that I'm interested in but have a few questions if anyone can help.

  1. The tickets can be found here https://www.buysumotickets.com/shop/special-events/2024-10-06-Kanazawa which seems legit from what I've found. However, the only availability is for unreserved seats. Is the event likely to be busy enough for this to be a problem? I assume it would be more the case later in the day, as it runs from 9 – 3.

  2. This is obviously a smaller event than the more obvious Sumo events and with less tourists. Is it likely to be something that is going to be difficult for someone with no Japanese speaking skills – I'm not expecting to understand everything but wondering whether I will need to get a translation app out to get in.

  3. The location! It says 金沢市総合体育館 which translates to Kanazawa City Sogo Gymnasium which doesn't seem to exist? Would it be Kanazawa Municipal General Gymnasium?

The specific combination of Kanazawa and Sumo is probably pretty niche so any advice about similar events would also be appreciated.
