Q: can I apply for a tourist visa after my CoE got rejected?
My language school is confident that they can appeal my CoE refusal and make the immigration bureau issue my CoE, but they said this will take time so maybe you will come here in next year January or worst case April, if you are that eager to come here in October, come with a tourist visa for 3 months then we will work on switching your visa from short-term to long-term visa. I know that going to Japan with a tourist visa will be kinda difficult there, because you go there with the intention of moving there but you can’t do what student visa holders can do maybe in terms of housing, banking, etc. But I just want to know can I apply for a tourist visa or it will be rejected immediately because of the CoE situation?
