Hello Everyone! I am a 20-year-old American student studying in HK, and I am taking a last-minute solo trip to Okinawa from the 5th-9th, I was planning on staying in Naha my whole stay and staying at a hostel however I understand it is a bit touristy, is there any other places to stay on a budget that gives a more local vibe/ have better access to snorkeling and nature. As well what are some basic things I must do while there, some travel tips, and any dance clubs I can go to, and any other advice I might need? I speak basic Japanese and can get around okay using it but it is not the best. As well is there anyone who would be willing to show me around, I would love to make some friends. Also, what do you recommend the best way to make friends there is?
