Health over work this time

I've been working non stop since I graduated and this is the first time I've experienced immense stress to the extent rashes started to show on some parts of my body. The long commute to the office (2 hours one way so a total of 4 on the daily) plus the boss who cant control his emotions and usually ends up inadvertently putting the stress on me, have rapidly deteriorated my quality of life even if I just newly entered this company (a little over 2 months).

I dont think I give up easily because I've worked in a firm for four years before this gig and yes there were stressful times but not this much that makes me want to take a break.

I havent experienced taking a work break before and I have no prospect yet too. Also, uncertain how life is here in Japan in terms of the money we can receive from government whilst unemployed.

For those who have experienced taking a work break even for a little bit, how was it? How was your experience? Did it really help you 'feel refreshed' before going back to work? Or did it just make you more anxious and more stressed because the income stops? Is it true that it's hard to come back to work again after taking a break?

Sorry for the wordings but would appreciate your inputs. Thank you.
