Hi! i have put together an itinerary for winter in Japan with my boyfriend in Jan-feb next year.
Please let me know if you think we are doing too much or any additional activities you think we should do!!
I also appreciate all tips for our trip!!
Dates:
29/01 – 04/02 Tokyo
04/02 – 07/02 Osaka
07/02 – 08/02 one night back in tokyo
08/02 – 14/02 – hakuba
Wednesday 29/1:
- Fly out of Australia, land at Narita 6:25pm
- Land in terminal 3, get limousine bus from terminal 3 to kabukicho
- Check in to hotel in shinjuku
- go out and walk around and get some ramen!!
Thursday 30/1: Harajuku and Shibuya
- Get breakfast from konbini
- Visit Meiji Juingu
- Takeshita street
- togo shrine
- visit cat street, get coffee/rest at cafe and shop a bit more
- go back to hotel for a little bit
- Return to Shibuya in the evening
- Shibuya sky sunset ticket for 5:30pm
- Explore Shibuya crossing aread
- Get dinner
- head back to hotel for night
Friday 31/1: teamlabs, Akihabara
- Konbini breakfast
- Teamlabs planet 9 or 10am
- Manten sushi Marunouchi for lunch
- imperial palace after lunch
- Akihabara electric town for the afternoon
- Back to hotel and out for dinner if feel like it
Saturday 1/2:Yanesen area
- Visit kayaba Coffee
- Nezu Shrine
- Yanaka Ginza
- Explore the general area of Yanasen
- Back to Shinjuku, we are doing a JDM car trip this night
Sunday 2/2: Kichioji
- Shirohige Cream puff factory
- Kichijoji sunroad shopping district
- Daiya shopping archade
- Harmonica Yokocho
- Inokashira park
- Back to shinjuku in evening
Monday 3/2: Asakusa
- Senso-ji
- Nakamise-dori street
- Tokyo skytree
- Maybe a different area for dinner, we will see where the day takes us
Tuesday 4/2: Tokyo – Osaka
- Check out of shinujuku hotel early
- Get 6:30am Shinkansen to Osaka, arrive 9:00am
- Drop bags to hotel
- Kuromon marker
- Namba yaska shrine (not tied to this)
- Osaka castle and gardens
- back to hotel at check in time
- Chill for a bit
- Umeda sky at sunset
- Dotonbori to finish
Wednesday: 5/2: Osaka
- Explore Osaka, just walk around and see the sights
- Kiyamachi Dori
- Open to other suggestions for this day
- Considering posting our large luggage to hakuba this day
Thursday 6/2: Day trip to Kyoto
- Go early to avoid some early crowds
- Kiyomizy-dera
- Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka Slope streets
- Kodaiji Temple
- gion and surround districts (would be cool to hire a bike for this, would you reccomend?)
- Fushimi Inrara in the afternoon 3-4pm
- Head back to osaka
Friday 7/2 – Back to Shinjuku for transit access
- Check out of osaka
- Take shinkansen back to shinjuku
- Stay near shinjuku station for easy access to Hakuba direct train
- Dinner in Shinjuku or Shibuya areas
Saturday 8/9 – Shinjuku to Hakuba
- Take direct train from Shinjuku 8am (Azusa express)
- Arrive at Hakuba at 11:41am
- Make way to hotel, probably just with taxi
- Check in to hotel
- Go to town and eat
- Hire ski gear
Sunday 9/2 – Hakuba (boyfriends birthday)
- Hakuba 47 resort for day
- Return to hotel
- head to private onsen
- dinner and bed
Monday 10/2: Hakuba
- Hakuba 47 resort
- Return to hotel
- Dinner out
Tuesday 11/2: Hakuba
- Happo one resort
- Return to hotel
- Dinner out
wednesday 12/2: Hakuba

- Snow monkey tour and day trip
