In the very preliminary stages of planning our first trip next year. It would be my husband and I and our 2 year old.
Haven't booked flights yet but the earliest we can come next year is from Apri 19-May 5.
Would it be absolutely mental to fly from Tokyo to Aomori to see the Cherry Blossoms at Hirosaki Castle . Stay overnight and fly to Osaka the next day? Here's a very very rough schedule. The rest of the trip will be much more low key and aim for only doing one thing a day. Maybe do one or two day drips from Osaka or Kyoto but if too exhausted will stay put.

April 20 Day 2: Tokyo

April 22 Day 4: Tokyo to Aaomori Flight in the evening
April 23 Day 5: Aaomori to Hirosaki Castle
April 24 Day 6: Aaomori to Osaka Flight
April 25 Day 7: Osaka
April 26 Day 8: Osaka
April 27 Day 9: Osaka to Kyoto
April 28 Day 10: Kyoto
April 29 Day 11: Kyoto
April 30 Day 12: Kyoto
May 1 Day 13: Hakone
May 2 Day 14: Tokyo
May 3 Day 15: Tokyo
May 4 Day 16: Tokyo
