The G1 has been really enjoyable thus far: it's breathed new life into a NJPW product that has seen some real doldrums.
Yuya Uemura has been a revelation, with a 2nd straight great match; this time opposite a top-form Hirooki Goto. The same could be said about Boltin Oleg, who impressed once again v. HENARE (who's also been outstanding). Big fan of both guys.
Naito with a much-needed bounce back performance! I love the always-electric pairing of Naito/ZSJ (ZSJ has great matches with EVERYBODY). It really hit home when the announcers mentioned their first meeting in the G1 back in 2017… I've (and many of you) been watching these guys wrestle for SEVEN years. Doesn't get old.
Zack's post-match posing with the belt was electric- I hope it goes somewhere.
