How is TIU (tokyo international university) for foreign students? Is it worth it?

I was interested by their DBI (digital business and innovation) course but ive been seeing the reviews of TIU aren't that good. I'm from Bangladesh (19f), will be applying to universities next year. I have a decent A level result, I was wondering if i should apply to TIU? But is it worth it if i try to pursue postgraduate education in other countries like canada? I have seen the rank of TIU is pretty low so i'm really confused
I wouldn't mind having a leisure degree but i have always worked hard and just to end up being a stay at home wife or having a degree for nothing is not just sitting with me

  1. Like you said, the reviews aren’t good. If you are interested in getting a degree with no effort and learning almost nothing and potentially being harassed by predators, then it is a good choice.

However, if you want to have a proper education, I would suggest other universities like ritsumeikan, Sophia or other better ones. They will give you a better chance in getting into the postgraduate program of your choice later on.

That being said, TIU is easy to get in so you can probably get in if you apply. I can’t say the same about the others.

  2. I would recommend you apply to respectable programs like those you would find at Hitotsubashi, Waseda, Chuo, or even Shinshu.
