So since Kyoto hotel prices are soo expensive I am heavily considering staying in Osaka while I explore around Kyoto. I know the train is about 30 mins there and back, but I was wondering if it's feasible with the amount of day trips I am taking. Here is my Kyoto itinerary for 4 days of my trip:
DAY 1
*Arrive at hotel mid afternoon
*Travel to Kyoto
*Nishiki Market
*Yasaka Shinji Shrine
*Explore that area and maybe Gion into night
DAY 2
*Festival in northern Kyoto at Kamigano Jinja shrine
*Genko-an Temple
*Explore Kyoto (gion if I didn't have enough time)
Day 3
*Day trip to Arashiyama
*Romantic Train / Boat Ride
*Bamboo forest
*Japan guide Hike to all temples ending with Otagi Nenbustu-ji shrine
*Kuyu Falls Hike
DAY 4
*Day trip to Uji
*Tsuen TEA
*Half Day trip to Nara
*See temples
