I have a lot of United Airlines miles and don’t plan on flying much in the foreseeable future, so I’d like to use the miles to buy things. On the US and UK sites, I can use my miles as Merchandise Awards, to buy Apple products, and subscribe to magazines and newspapers. Being in Japan, however, there seem to be many ways to GET miles but only two ways to USE them: for flights and exchanging 1000 miles for 400 Rakuten points which isn’t much of a deal. Am I just unaware of other ways to use my miles?
