I recently moved to Aomori, and I have been surprised with the size of my apartment. I would like to get some indoor plants to fill the place out. I have found some topics on indoor plants for Japan in general, but I am concerned that the Aomori winters might be too harsh for many of them, and cross-referencing has already been quite time consuming. I'm also not sure how strict the recommended temperature numbers on various plant-care websites are.
Does anyone have any recommendations for particularly hardy indoor plants, suitable for Aomori winters?
Aesthetics and air quality are less important to me than hardiness.
