I am looking to build a vacation house in Nagano Prefecture. I am planning to visit weekly and maybe in a few years I will live there permanently.
People who seem to have not much experience (Tokyoites) are giving me horror stories about Draining water pipes in winter.
Me, on the other hand having zero experience with Mizu-Nuki am thinking "Just how hard can it be".
There seem to be electronic devices that drain the pipes. Are these suitable and effective? Or is a manual procedure for draining the pipes the only real way, and if so just how tedious is this?
It also seems possible to attach mini heaters to the pipes to heat them up if the temperature falls too much. Are these good?
Also what needs to be done about the Cuto and tankless toilets?
TIA
