  1. But of course, the school president’s rights are protected while the students’ rights are stomped on. Sigh….

  2. Unfortunately, it is yet another example where 学校法人 protects the President at the expense of the university, which you often see in small private universities. Culture of governance at some universities are so perverse, that they sacrifice education in favour of preserving 学校法人.

  3. “Rights” is an excuse they always throw around to avoid taking any actual measures. When students are misbehaving in class, or skipping class, or coming up with all sorts of excuses to get out of assignments, teachers get admonished for giving them reasonable consequences because “the student has a right to learn.” And then when a student is sexually harassed by staff, the student’s rights go out the fucking window because of the “rights” of the staff. Horseshit.
