Japan September Itinerary help/critique, please.

Hello, everyone!

My wife and I are heading to Japan this Friday, and we would love some advice on our itinerary. I'm a bit concerned that we might have too many full days in Tokyo. One of the days, my wife wants to visit DisneySea, as she’s a big fan.

Here’s our plan:

Day 1: Sunday – Tokyo
– Arrive at Haneda Airport around 4 PM
– Get Suica cards and add them to Apple Wallet
– Purchase SIM cards
– Travel from HND to Shinjuku
– Check into a hotel in the Shinjuku area

Day 2: Monday – Tokyo
– Visit Meiji Jingu Shrine
– Explore Harajuku area (Is it too touristy?)
– Walk around Cat Street
– See Shibuya Crossing
– Spend time in the Shinjuku area

Day 3: Tuesday – Day Trip to Nikko
– Take a day trip from Tokyo to Nikko, then return to Tokyo

Day 4: Wednesday – Tokyo
– Visit teamLab Planets
– Explore the Imperial Palace

Day 5: Thursday – Tokyo
– Spend the day at DisneySea

Day 6: Friday – Tokyo to Hakone
– Check out of our Tokyo hotel
– Travel from Tokyo to Hakone
– Visit Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station
– Try the black eggs in Owakudani
– Have dinner at the hotel

Day 7: Saturday – Hakone
– Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
– Visit the Open Air Museum
– Relax in the hot springs
– Have dinner at the hotel

Day 8: Sunday – Hakone to Osaka
– Breakfast at the hotel
– Check out of the Hakone hotel
– Arrive in Osaka
– Visit Osaka Castle
– Explore Namba Yasaka Shrine
– Check out Kuromon Market
– Dinner in Dotonbori

Day 9: Monday – Osaka (Round Trip to Hiroshima & Miyajima Island)
– Arrive in Hiroshima at 11:30 AM
– Visit Miyajima Island and Itsukushima Shrine
– Visit the Peace Memorial Park until 2 PM
– Go to the Atomic Bomb Museum at 4:30 PM
– Return to Osaka
– Dinner in Shinsenkai

Day 10: Tuesday – Osaka to Kyoto
– Check out of the Osaka hotel (we’ll send our luggage via delivery service to Kyoto)
– Visit Shitenno-ji Temple
– Spend time at Universal Studios Japan
– Travel to Kyoto

Day 11: Wednesday – Kyoto
– Explore Higashiyama
– Visit Kiyomizudera Temple
– Walk through Gion

Day 12: Thursday – Kyoto (Round Trip to Nara)
– Arrive in Nara around 10:30 AM
– Visit Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha)
– Have lunch
– Explore Kasuga Taisha Shrine
– Return to Kyoto
– Dinner at Pontocho

Day 13: Friday – Kyoto
– Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
– Explore Kinkaku-ji Temple
– Experience a traditional tea ceremony

Day 14: Saturday – Kyoto to Tokyo
– Travel from Kyoto back to Tokyo
– Spend more time at Fushimi Inari Taisha and Kinkaku-ji if needed

Day 15: Sunday – Tokyo
– Explore Asakusa: Senso-ji Temple, Culture Tourist Info Center (8th Floor View), surrounding streets
– Try a kimono experience
– Visit the Samurai Ninja Museum
– Shopping in department stores

Day 16: Monday – Tokyo (Departure Day)
– Visit any missed spots in Shinjuku
– Pack bags and head to the airport
