Hello all! I'm going for my 3rd trip to Japan, but taking my parents this time around. I know my mom would like to rent a kimono and stroll around and take photos as a nice memory. I have looked on Klook to get ideas for next year and have watched many videos on YouTube, but many of the review photos or video are of thin people.

but I'm worried about myself fitting into a kimono. My parents are tall and slim while I am short and well not slim. I wear a 1 in Torrid sizing or 2xl in unisex sizing.
My worry is that I will get a voucher for a rental place and be rejected for not fitting into the kimono. Thyroid issues run in my family so losing the weight is not an easy task. I guess skipping it all together would be okay with me, but I know my mom liked watching all the videos on YouTube.
Has anyone rented from a reputable shop that is size inclusive?
