13 Day Itinerary Check

Hi! First timer to Japan (going with my partner) and getting so excited for our trip in November. Please let me know if you have any feedback. Also, please let me know if you think getting a JR pass makes sense.

Day 1 – Tokyo

  • Arrive at 3:45
  • Check in to hotel in Shinjuku
  • Dinner at Udon Shin

Day 2 – Tokyo

  • Breakfast at Tsukiji Outer Market
  • Senso-ji & Asakusa
  • Katsudon-ya Zuicho for late lunch
  • Street Kart Shibuya
  • Shibuya Scramble Crossing

Day 3 – Tokyo

  • Flipper's for breakfast
  • Harajuku shopping
  • Gyukatsu Motoura for lunch
  • [Maybe] Shimokitazawa
  • Omakase – Sushirakuza Yanoki (8:45 pm)

Day 4 – Tokyo – Mt. Fuji

  • Stay at Kukuna (mostly chill, check out resort/utilize balcony hot bath)

Day 5 – Mt. Fuji – Kyoto

  • Try to get reservation at Kichi Kichi Omurice, chill

Day 6 – Kyoto

  • Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
  • % Arabica
  • Katsura River Boat Tour

Day 7 – Kyoto + Nara*

  • Fushimi Inari
  • Nara Park [don't need to spend a ton of time here, right?]*
  • Kinkaku-ji

*This day in particular/my Kyoto section could use some help. Is there a more efficient way to do the thingslisted over the past 2 days, then what I have listed in Kyoto on day 9?

Day 8 – Day trip to Osaka

  • Osaka Castle
  • America-mura shopping
  • Dotonbori

Day 9 – Kyoto – Hiroshima

  • Early wake up for Kiyomizu-dera
  • Gion
  • Train to Hiroshima
  • Peace Memorial Park
  • Hiroshima Peace Museum

Day 10 – Day trip to Miyajima Island

Day 11 – Hiroshima – Tokyo

  • Stay in Shibuya
  • Chill day/vintage shopping

Day 12 – Tokyo

  • TeamLab Borderless (9 am)
  • Walk to Savoy for lunch
  • Shibuya Sky for sunset

Day 13 – Tokyo

  • Hat Coffee (11 am)
  • 12 pm – depart Shibuya for 5:45 flight from NRT
