I'm confused on how much paternity leave I can take.
A friend sent me this:
https://www.mhlw.go.jp/seisakunitsuite/bunya/koyou_roudou/koyoukintou/ryouritsu/ikuji/point.html
There's like a cliffnote saying you can take leave until your child turns 1.. but has absolutely no details.
Is it just 4 weeks TOTAL until your child turns 1?
Because other government websites seem to have exceptions or whatever.. im just lost here… saying that if you don't get into your desired nursery, then you (me the dad) can take leave? But it doesn't outright say it.
Does anyone know what the heck I am able to do?
My wife needs me, but we need money. My work wants me to take more paternity leave, but isn't able to tell me how much I can take and still get money from the big ol insurance company.
Most websites just say 4 weeks, but it seems like that was before 2022.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I am about to pass out from lack of sleep lol
