Validity of Chinese name as kanji in Japanese name

Hi guys! Japanese learner at University here.

I have started learning Japanese but I have been learning Chinese for many years since grade school.

My Chinese name is 江蜜 (Jiāng Mì) and I really adore it and it means a lot to me.
Instead of my Japanese name being a romanization of my English name, I would really love it if I could have a name that uses It as kanji. I did some research, and from what I could find, the best way of pronouncing it would be こう・みつ which does pretty well to retain the original meaning of the name while also sounding nice.

I just wanted to ask if this made sense or if these kanji are to obscure for me to even consider this? Is it just too weird?

Note: I know that 蜜 might be especially uncommon as a first name, but I would be okay with this. It’s quite uncommon in Chinese names as well but there is a lot of meaning attached to it as a name for me and I have had it for a long time, so I would still love to use it in kanji even if it seems like a strange word to use as a name.

(Also, this might seem like a repost? I think my last post got blocked because it was flagged as a minor translation request? Let me know if this post is inappropriate.)

Thank you!
