So moved into our new house a little less than 2 weeks ago. Tonight the modem NTT gave us crapped out. Doesn't seem to be getting power (tried multiple outlets). No lights on the modems are going on or blinking. I'm going to call NTT in the morning to ask them to fix it, but depending on how long it will take, I may be better off replacing it myself. Do electronics shops like Bic and Yamada sell 3rd party modems compatible with NTT Hikari (it also doubles as an IP phone)?
Edit. It was the ONU version of the modern which is proprietary for NTT. You can't get a 3rd party replacement. Fortunately they delivered a replacement in the afternoon. Took a while to get it set up, but it's working.
