Hi there.
I have a normal Japanese driving licence, which means I can drive a 原付. While I was looking at a regular scooter to buy, I saw some fun bikes that are still under 50cc, but use a 5 speed manual.
I love driving a manual bike (I have an unrestricted license in Vietnam) , but in Japan I do not have the required license to do so. I also cannot convert my viet one.
It would be pointless to take the test too as I live in central Kyoto and only need it to commute. (my commute is an hour walk but would be 20mins ish on a little 原付). I would use a car for longer trips. Also, I don't really want to have to wait to go through the tests / course (I am told even experienced riders need to take the course as if you don't do it their way you are likely to fail the test).
Anyway, I was wondering if I could still drive one of these fun looking 'microbikes' on a 原付 license as they are still only 50cc.
Thank you for any advice ~
