The number of “working gals” or “ladies of the night” has increased by a disturbing percentage since the fall of the yen.

This is not a post about "adult services", but rather about how bad it's getting in Tokyo right now in terms of job prospects for younger people.

If you look at the top websites for this kind of stuff, the girls available on the rosters have increased by 400-500 percent in some cases. That is really absurd since I have been keeping up with this hobby since 2017.

There's a youtuber named Nobita who speaks out against this stuff and thinks it's bad for the young japanese girls, and of course it is, but the previous levels used to be manageable. The numbers used to be about 1 in 10 Japanese girls "worked the night" as they say, but that number is probably closer to 2 or 3 now.

A girl can make almost $2000-2500 a day depending on her endurance, that's cash too. The average salary in Tokyo for a young college graduate is about $25k adjusted for USD… meaning a working gal can make the same as a college grad in 10 days of work.

She can probably make what a full time star bucks barista does in a year in 7 days.

This is kind of disturbing and doesn't help the birth rates issue
