My brother is a bartender and barista, and I wanted to surprise him on our trip to Japan (Tokyo and Sapporo) with a visit to some cool bar or maybe an experience that a bartender/barista would appreciate.
He's also a huge nerd, he loves video games–fighting games especially–and some anime. For more context on his interests, here are some places we're already planning to go to:
-Capcom store Shibuya
-Final Fantasy Eorzea Cafe
-Yamashita Park in Yokohama (bc of the Yakuza games)
-Red Bull Gaming Sphere (maybe for their Street Fighter Thursdays)
Are there any cool nerdy bars we could take him to? Or an underground bar that really appeals to people who know a lot about drinks? I'm hoping to go somewhere that isn't too popular and/or touristy so we can easily get in and enjoy the atmosphere. Though I understand that every popular place in Japan is super overcrowded right now. Sorry if this question is kinda vague, I don't drink so I don't know much about the bar scene especially in Japan.
