company transfer or become an english teacher?

hello
I need guidance on what route should I take when moving to Japan. I'm conflicted between two options:

Option 1: the company I work at the moment has a Japanese branch that my supervisor encouraged me (causally though) to apply for. It would require me to be proficient in Japanese which would take quite some time but it's based in Tokyo which I prefer. It's a new branch and there's no one that has internationally transferred there before so I'm not sure how likely it would be for me to be accepted. But I feel like it would help establish myself in my career and as a person.

Option 2: become an English teacher (specifically through the JET Program). I meet the qualifications, but I know it's not guaranteed (well neither of my options are). But it seems more straightforward compared to my previous option imo. I have a previous history of teaching preschoolers and like the idea of having guidance during the move. Downside is that the location you are given is random, but at least I'll be in Japan sooner than I hope.

Lend me your thoughts!
