Teaching in Japan vs other countries

Hi!
I’m looking at finding my first TEFL job abroad and i’m specifically looking at (south) east Asia. I’ve applied to a few in Hong Kong, South Korea, and recently Taiwan.

I’ve always been attracted to living in Japan and i’m wondering if it’s one i should consider as a first time or wait till i have more experience.

I’ve previously put it as somewhere id look at later on in my career but i’m now curious about other people’s experiences either with Japan as a first country or a later one.
Why did you choose Japan first or not first?
