Hi! Three of my friends and I are going to Japan in January for our high school graduation trip. Most of us are first time visitors. I'd really appreciate some feedback on the Tokyo portion of our itinerary:) Thank you!
Day 1 – Early January
- Arrive at 12:30pm at Haneda
- Eat lunch at the airport
- Leave luggage at hotel in Ueno
- Explore surroundings, e.g.
- Ameyoko
- Yanaka Ginza
- Ueno Park
- Shrines, museums, art galleries
- Maybe go to hatsumode at Nezu Shrine
- Eat dinner somewhere
Day 2
- Do something in the morning – eat conbini breakfast, walk around etc
- Meet friend at Narita Airport (Narita express from Ueno to airport)
- Go to Asakusa with friend's family so they can drop off luggage at hotel
- Explore Asakusa (Senso-ji, Nakamise street, Kaminarimon etc)
- Eat at a sushi train (e.g. Sushiro Asakusa) for dinner
- Go to Tokyo Skytree in the evening
Day 3
- Explore the rest of Ueno Park in the morning
- Walk to Akihabara
- Anime shopping
- Eat lunch
- Kichijoji Petit Mura in the afternoon　
- Eat yakitori at omoide yokocho for dinner
Day 4
- Morning – Harajuku (shopping, cute things, crepes)
- Meiji Jingu 明治神宮
- Midday – eat lunch at Tonkatsu Maisen (Jingu-mae)
- Shibuya Scramble
- Shibuya shopping in general
- Donki MEGA
- atcosme
- Shibuya PARCO
- Shibuya Sky in the evening
Day 5
- Tsukiji Outer Market
- Teamlab Planets
- Ginza – shopping, lunch
- Imperial Palace (East Gardens) in the afternoon
- Chill or go to Tokyo Tower/Roppongi
Day 6
- Harry Potter studio tour
- Shop at Animate & Loft in Ikebukuro
- Sunshine city mall
- Chill in the evening/more shopping/go to Shinjuku Gyoen etc
Day 7 – Yokohama day trip
Day 8 – Tokyo Disney Sea
Days 9 – 12 will be in Kyoto with a trip to Nara, maybe Osaka
