In general, how can we select a hotel that is truly non smoking, just not non smoking rooms? I know, bad place to visit if the smell of smoke can really ruin a stay but we are coming to Japan to visit our son who is in the Jet Program and is living in Tokamachi. We will be staying in Tokamachi for a few days but the rest of the three weeks we are there, we will be in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto. Thank you for your recommendations.
