Hi everyone! I recently got married to a Japanese. I am planning to come home to my home country for vacation and I plan on renewing my passport while I’m there and use my husband’s last name. If I do so, my last name on my new passport and on my residence card will no longer match. Is that okay upon reentry to Japan as long as I present my old passport? Do I have to present a marriage certificate as well? If so, do I need to have the certificate translated to Japanese?
