Is the Shimanami Kaido worth cycling, or is it more like some nice scenic views along the way but an overall kinda meh journey? Watching youtube videos, I get a sense of it possibly falling into the latter.
And if it’s a choice between that and Himeji (Castle, Kokoen, Mt. Shosha) – thinking Himeji would be the better option?
