There's a very simple way to get Japanese citizenship and that's to get PR in your own country .Simply qualify for Japanese citizenship (if you don't already). Revoke your former citizenship, get Japanese citizenship and go to your friends and family with the PR.
What if my country doesn't give PR?
Contact the embassy and if they still don't just don't tell the Japanese citizenship interviewers that you have another citizenship.(I don't mean to encourage illegal behavior but a lot of people have done this and gotten away with it).
