I have been using Anki JLPT N5 Vocabulary Deck. When I flip the card, it shows a short English translation but I want it to show the FULL definition which is shows if I click “edit”. Anyone know how? Thanks
* Tools->Manage note types * Highlight the note type by clicking on it * Click the “cards” button * Click “Back Template” * Type {{Name of your field}} in the appropriate section of the card * Click Save
It’s very well written and will tell you how to do this, and also make other changes when you inevitably want to make other edits or create your own decks in the future. Trust me it’s worth the small time investment now to properly learn how to use the program.

you have to learn how to format your cards
that is explained in the Anki manual:
