Hello! My partner and I are having a hard time deciding on which Ryokan to choose for our upcoming trip on December so i’m needing your help.
I have filtered down my search to Yoshiike and Senkyoro and this is what we personally prefer:
Me (her)
– Private Onsen overlooking a snowy forest
– Kaiseki meal served in room
-Traditional Japanese room
-Nice & snowy garden
Senkyoro ticks it all but I’m a bit hesitant because maybe the garden isnt that great during winter compared to yoshiike’s garden? Yoshiike’s public bath also seems better than senkyoro imo

-Traditional Japanese room
-Onsen
-Any food
-Nice garden
I suggested both Yoshiike and Senkyoro to him and he likes Yoshiike. I like yoshiike too but I’m thinking I will be missing the opportunity to have a nice private bath and kaiseki.
To anyone been to Yoshiike, what was your experience with the private bath and kaiseki being served in the restaurant?
