Recently there was a thread here about how you air your apartment that mentioned it's common in Japanese families to leave the bathroom fan open 24/7. There's also these vent holes to prevent sick air syndrome. So is that the standard way here — leave those vent holes open and run the fan in the bathroom continuously? Reason why I'm asking now is I'm leaving on a long trip and want to keep the temperature somewhat reasonable inside, but I want to make sure the system is fit for purpose (e.g., fan is not going to overheat).
