Ehh sorry I reposted this. I'm having a really hard time learning Japanese. I own the Kodansha kanji learner's course, which teaches the 2300 most used kanji or so, using mnemonics, which is pretty much the only way I'm able to learn. But I'm just confused. Will I learn a bunch that I won't use for a long time? Would I be better off just studying the core 2000 and learning using my own mnemonics and more likely to use those words? With grammar on the side of course.
Btw I lived in Japan a few years but the language is killing me :/
