Make a chawan (tea bowl) with me?

I’m going to be in Kyoto in a few weeks and there is an awesome chawan making course I’d like to take. I believe the way it works is if we do one, half day course, we can make a red raku bowl while if we do two days then we can make a black raku.

The caveats are that they require a minimum of 2 people per half day class (4 for a full day) and that one of us has to speak Japanese. I wish I spoke the language but do not currently. So, the deal is that if you’d like to make a chawan with me and are willing to do a little translation then I’ll pick up the course fees (and am willing to throw in a little extra for your trouble if need be).

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone keen?

(If we get 4 people total that’d be even better and more fun I suppose but not going to comp 3 other people unfortunately)
