Hello, we will be taking the shinkansen from Tokyo to Hiroshima in late October. And I have two questions please:
Large Luggage: We have one suitcase that is large, but it's slightly less than the 160cm threshold for "oversized". I don't really want to deal with lugging it up on the luggage rack. So I'd like to reserve a rear seat with the luggage area in back of the seat. Is it OK to reserve a rear seat, even if the suitcase is a bit smaller than 160cm total?
Ticket Offices: I am a bit scared to purchase the tickets online. I would rather wait in line at a ticket counter. This means I should go to a "JR Ticket Office" aka Midori-no-Madoguchi, correct? What I'm wondering, is the Midori-no-Madoguchi easy to access? I see one is shown on google maps in the Shimbashi station. Our hotel is near there, so I can just walk in easily? Or maybe you would suggest I do this at the airport JR ticket office after we land?
