I’ve noticed many young couples having children within a year/2 of marriage. Why is that you think?

I was just thinking recently that a lot of young Japanese couples that I know (people in their early to mid-twenties) tend to have children within a year or two of their marriage. My bf is 31, and all of his friends after getting married (around 25-26) ended up having children within a year or two. I also have a close friend who got pregnant at 23, and recently found out an old teacher (25) that use to work with me gave birth to a baby boy after a year and a half of marriage with her husband.

It's just something interesting that I've noticed, especially living in the Inaka where supposedly the birth rate should be at it's worse. I know my overall pool of knowing a lot of Japanese people is also most likely not the whole story, but I've just been noticing it, like, a lot lately! I see absolutely nothing wrong with having kids that quickly into marriage, but I just was curious as to what others think.

I'd assume just cuz the culture is different and that it's a "might as well have one now" kinda situation or if there's maybe a deeper societal sense of making children that I just don't understand lol

Does anyone else notice this or am I way off base lol
