Hello,
I am travelling to Japan in late december and plan to take a Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo on 29th December. Would you recommend that i book the tickets in advance or is it fine if i buy the tickets on the day itself so that i have flexibility to take the train which suits my time the most? Since it is holiday season, would there be any possibility that tickets are sold out in advance? Also one more small thing, are there any special/limited trains which run from Kyoto to Tokyo, i am travelling with a 7 year old who would enjoy it.
