Not a troll post, asking this seriously and respectfully. Fan cultures seem wildly different between here in the West and Japan, and I’m basically asking about the mindset of Japanese audiences over time
Is pro wrestling treated more as a sport? Is it treated like another form of performance art, or maybe some combination of both? Have fans always known that match finishes were predetermined, or did they lag behind the west as a culture, and do they really care as a whole?
