Finding a job as an experienced Game Developer in Japan

Hi everyone, I always wanted to work in Japan. I am a game developer with 6+ years of professional working experience. My English is good (I'm currently working at an English-speaking company, and there is no communication issue or any negative feedback). Is Japanese really that important for working in Japan, and what are your other recommendations? (If Japanese is important, what level should my Japanese be?)
