AC/Portable AC need suggestion

1. I had one of those once! Didn’t work very well at all. Eventually moved to a better building. So many buildings here utter garbage when it comes to heat management.

2. Those don’t cool very well.

   Can’t you get those AC that you install directly on the window? They are quite loud, but they work.

3. We have one of those in our bathroom and it works quite well for small spaces. As the pictures indicate, though, you have to vent the exhaust out through a door or window because it produces as much heat out of the back side as it does cool air from the front. If you don’t vent the exhaust out of the room you want to cool you could actually make it hotter rather than cooler.

4. I bought one in July, but a larger model because I live in a 2ldk and I was hoping to be able to circulate the air to cool the whole space (spoiler: it didn’t work well at all, but I could cool one room well enough if I closed the door).

   It works for cooling the air but it is not very efficient. For a small room it might be alright, but I think it would use a lot of electricity if you use it all summer. Also mine is insanely loud, even though according to the box it is supposed to be barely louder than a fan.

   I would only recommend it if it is for a small room, you only need it occasionally or don’t mind an insane electricity bill, are very tolerant to noise , and you don’t intend to have in on while sleeping (because it’s way too noisy).
