Hello everyone
I’ve gone through all the reddits, tokyocheapo guide, found small things and still the website won’t recognize my MyNumber card to even make a new account to apply online.
I am using Windows 10 with all updates installed, JavaScript, Google Chrome with the JPKI extension, JPKI software with the card reader that’s on the approved list. I’ve even changed my locale and language and uninstalled then reinstalled the JPKI software. I also turned off the add blockers.
However the moj website keeps giving me this error message:
error: failed to scan the Individual Number Card. Please make sure that the card is properly set. If the problem persists, refer to the Public Certificatjon Service for Individuals portal site (redirects me to JPKI's contact form from here).
I emailed JPKI and they told me to change my region and language to Japanese then uninstall and reinstall the software. i did that and it still does not work.
I live in Japan and I am just changing my visa status so I’m using a Japanese DNS and IP address. Immigration is far and i have an illness so i would prefer to get this to work so I don't have yo waste a good day at immigration and lose a week of ability.
Has anyone else been able to get it to work despite this? My phone won’t work either (apple phone) even though the JPKI software does
