The G1 is officially over with the Frontman bringing it home to the Uk. The G1 finals match was great. I wouldn't say it was a Motyc but still great.
This year's G1 was a rebuild for the company. A lot of fresh matches and a good amount of memorable matches that felt like I was watching the old G1s. We saw Ogs showing they still got it and young stars that you can tell were finding themselves. In particular Gabe, Yuya, and Tsuji(Not counting Takeshita since he's in AEW)
But to me a lot of matches felt like they were missing something. The quality was there at certain points but I also felt certain matches were just there.
Overall I'd give it a 8/10. From a unpredictable standpoint it's far better than last year. And from a match quality standpoint I can't say it was fully better than last year.
